The Dupont’s lark (Chersophilus duponti) s one of the most threatened steppe birds of Europe. The species is classified as “Endangered” in the “Red Book of the vertebrates of Spain” and its conservation raises considerable challenges that require not only environmental updates, but also social and local development updates.

The LIFE Ricotí Project intends to deal with the conservation of the species involving the local population and boosting the nature tourism, through the signing of conservation agreements with landowners and the support of touristic activities.
